Foxglow is a New Zealand company and have perfected their perfume scents to a tea. These perfume oils are 100% uncut, pure and skin-safe. They are vegan-friendly, cruelty free, alcohol free, contain no additives, no GMO’s, no phthalates and no parabens. As a result you can be sure you are only putting the best on your skin. An insider secret is that the Foxglow perfumes are all based on the scents of other well known perfumes but, will cost you a fraction of the price!

We were lucky enough to be able to interview the brains behind and the creator of Foxglow itself, Bec! Bec was able to give us insight into details about herself, the company and some of the products. We have also provided you with the full list of Foxglow perfumes available at Beauty Bliss, their various scents and the perfumes they are based on.

Interview with Foxglow Creator and Owner, Rebecca Stent

Hi! Thank you so much for agreeing to do this interview! Would you mind telling us a little bit about yourself and why you started the Foxglow business?

Hey, my name is Rebecca (aka Bec), I am from Hamilton and have a Bachelor in Business (Marketing), Foxglow started out as a female entrepreneur blog, then I stocked products made by boss babes (both something I still love and support deeply) and from here I started selling my own products. Foxglow is all about lifting each other up, feeling beautiful in our own skin and believing in ourselves to make our dreams come true.

What is your favourite scent of Foxglow perfumes?
I wear Addict or Opulent, more Addict in the colder months and Opulent in the warmer months. In saying this I defenitly wear them all on random occasions.

I’ve seen all your perfumes are vegan, cruelty free, paraben free and phthalate free. Can you tell us a bit about why this is important to you?
This is important for all aspects of cosmetics, we put these products on ourselves daily and sometimes do not even think of these sorts of factors. All of our products have the genuine consideration of being better for you than other products on the market.

What is it like being a woman running a small business in NZ? Have you come across any big challenges?
It is a rollercoaster but a rewarding one. You just have to remember tomorrow is another day and keep at it. Nothing was ever built over night and you can’t build something on your own. So thank you to all of you who are involved in Foxglow, we wouldn’t be where we are now without you!

Where would you like to see Foxglow heading in the next few years?
In the next few years I would like to see product expansion, watch this space! Pop-up shops and there is also the thought of a Salon, if the demand is there this would be amazing with a retail store but we will see.

Is there anything people can do to help support you and your business during this isolation period?
To please be patient with their orders being dispatched once lockdown has been lifted. We are so grateful for every single order made over this stressful time and we will do every thing we possibly can to get your orders to you in a timely manner. But most of all, to look after yourselves x

Do you have anything else you want to say about the company or to our readers?
Foxglow is now in its third year, which is a massive milestone! We would like to say a huge thank you to all of you who have purchased from us, are following us, sharing our socials and supporting us in our journey, you are all amazing x

The Foxglow Dupe List

Bliss

It would of course be rude not to start with Beauty Bliss' very own colab with Foxglow; Bliss. The dominating scent is that of blackberry, grapefruit and pear. This is paired with accords of blue wisteria, jasmine, lychee, white woods, musk and coconut water, which come together to finish the scent off. Bliss encompasses elegance, youthful spirit and the power of dreaming big and it is naturally Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs that Bliss smells like.

Addict

The most quick selling perfume has to be 'Addict'. This scent consists of coffee, pink pepper, orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla, patchouli and cedar. The coffee gives it depth, while the other ingredients add a floral touch. Addict is a dupe for the famous perfume Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent. As someone who has used these both, I can confirm that the similarities between the two perfumes are mind blowing; they really do smell the same.

Pursuit

Pursuit has key notes caramel, mandarin, orange and peach on the top, flowers of orange blossom and jasmine in the heart, and cedar, guaiac wood, sandalwood and amber in the base. If this description sounds familiar, it is because Pursuit is inspired by Bonbon by Viktor & Rolf, providing you with the sweet smell of candy in a cute travel sized bottle.

Grace

The smell of strength and independence is captured by the perfume Grace. With bergamot, mandarin and blackcurrant on the top, rose de mai, neroli, jasmine and freesia in the middle and patchouli, woods, amber, orcanox and vanilla on the bottom, this a scent that is delicate yet mysterious with its many different layers. Grace is a dupe of Giorgio Armani's Si. Again, having used both of these perfumes I can confirm that the scents of each are almost identical.

Eminence

The glamourous scent of Eminence consists of raspberries, bitter orange and neroli orange blossom, jasmine and gardenia, ending with patchouli, honey and amber. This delectable combination is based off Lady Million by Paco Rabanne, making you smell like a million dollars but doing so in a formula designed to keep your skin feeling the same.

Opulent

Opulent is explosive and fresh, with notes of bergamot and green tea, sweet and pure sambac jasmine, seductive centifolia rose, fressia and cattleya orchid. Musk and patchouli in the base wrap an oriental scent, while its milky and powdery notes gently touch your skin. As no one can seem to get enough of the beautiful creations by Viktor & Rolf, Opulent is inspired by their perfume Flowerbomb, designed to make you feel great, inside and out.

Ardent

Unlike the other scents here, Ardent is a cologne instead of a perfume. Ardent is an intoxicating and powerful blend of light leather, blood mandarin, grapefruit, cinnamon, mint, rose, white wood, patchouli and amber. This is a cologne that is seductive, sexy and being inspired by One Million by Paco Rabanne, it is utterly irresistible.
