I used to think that a washcloth did the trick but since I've started using my Clarisonic I realize I was missing out. I'm now a total convert and look forward to trying out some of the different brush heads. Right now I use the Radiance head that comes with the kit, combined with a gel cleanser from Alpha-H and my skin is in the best shape it's been in ages. ~ Toni (BB Owner)
