Before applying Bahama Bod tanning mousse, it's important to prep your skin. Start by exfoliating your skin to remove any dead skin cells. This will help ensure that your tan goes on smoothly and lasts longer.
You can use a gentle exfoliating scrub, our exfoliating mitt or a loofah for this. After exfoliating, moisturize your skin to keep it hydrated. This will also help prevent the tan from clinging to dry areas.
Apply a small amount of the mousse to a tanning mitt and work in sections, starting from your legs and working your way up. Use a circular motion to apply the mousse evenly, making sure to blend well around your ankles, knees, elbows, and other areas where the skin is thicker.
Apply a small amount of mousse to your mitt and blend in a circular motion until the product is fully absorbed.
After applying the tanning mousse, it's important to let it dry completely before getting dressed. Wait at least 10-15 minutes before putting on clothing or coming into contact with water.
It's also best to wait a few hours before rinsing off the excess product with water and a gentle soap. This will give the tan time to develop and ensure that it lasts longer. For a deeper tan, apply before you go to bed and leave on overnight.
Use a gentle, hydrating lotion daily to keep your skin soft and smooth. Avoid using products that contain harsh chemicals or exfoliants that can strip away your tan.
Also, try to avoid activities that cause excessive sweating, such as high-intensity workouts, as this can cause the tan to fade faster.
