Great brush, I use it when I have conditioner in my hair to tame all those knots and tangles.

I wanted a scalp massager for three reasons: to work my solid shampoo better into my roots and scalp, so I don't over shampoo or have to shampoo twice; to help scrub my scalp when my nails were long and so my fingers didn't get tired trying to work through my thick & wavy hair. This brush/massager can get through my hair, even when wet, and it's definitely less tiring to use than using my fingers to work my shampoo into my roots and scalp. Not entirely sure if it's helping me use less shampoo, but I do feel it's helping me get my scalp cleaner quicker at least.

Been using this for a while now and I love it! Originally thought it was just for wet hair, but have been using it on dry hair and I would never use another brush. I've always used one of those big paddle brushes but since using this I've really noticed a difference in the 'tugging' or 'pulling' of the hair. I would also recommend this if you have kids who find hair brushing painful!
